In Loving Memory: Tauna R. Bogle passed away in August 2026. She founded Bogle Law in 2007 and led the firm for nearly two decades. The reflection below carries her voice and philosophy, and stands as a tribute to the practice she built.
Tauna believed in hard work, thorough investigation, meticulous preparation, and honesty. Whether handling a family law dispute, a criminal matter, or a civil case, she held that no stone should be left unturned. She often said that every legal issue carries significant consequences, and that the key to effective representation is a deep understanding of the facts, strategic application of the law, and unwavering advocacy. With this philosophy in mind, she founded Bogle Law to provide clients with the highest level of legal skill and dedication when they needed it most.
As the firm's managing attorney, Tauna provided strategic and legal guidance to her team. She hand-selected every member of her team to ensure the highest level of dedication, skill, and commitment to clients. When the firm accepted a new client, she personally assigned a lead attorney to handle the matter and partnered with that attorney on any unique circumstances of the case to help ensure the best possible strategy and representation.
Preparation and strategy were the cornerstones of her approach, and they remain the cornerstones of the firm's approach today. Whether guiding a client through the complexities of family law, defending their rights in a legal dispute, or addressing any other legal challenge, she focused on building a strong attorney-client relationship, gaining a thorough understanding of the facts, and developing a clear strategy to apply the law effectively.
Tauna's legal foundation was built at Stetson University College of Law, where she began her trial advocacy training in 1998. Renowned for its exceptional trial program and frequently recognized by U.S. News & World Report, Stetson gave her the opportunity to hone her skills through numerous mock trials as a member of the 2001 Stetson Trial Team, competing across Florida and the country. After graduation, she served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 6th Judicial Circuit from 2001 to 2007. Those six years gave her valuable insight into how the law is applied in real-world situations and strengthened her ability to analyze legal issues, assess complex fact patterns, and develop strategies that achieved results.
Seeking to broaden her legal knowledge, she transitioned into private practice, joining a prominent Tampa firm where she gained extensive experience in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. That experience reinforced her belief that thorough preparation, careful analysis, and strong advocacy were essential in every legal matter, regardless of practice area.
In October 2007, she opened her private practice in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County. What started as a solo practice grew into Bogle Law, a firm built on a team of seasoned attorneys and staff who shared her commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation. In 2023, she attended a week-long CLE training organized by the Trial Lawyers College in Sheridan, Wyoming, an opportunity she valued for refining her advocacy skills and deepening her understanding of effective legal strategy.
Tauna's experience spanned family law, criminal defense, domestic violence matters, and civil disputes. Her commitment to preparation, knowledge, and skill never wavered, and that standard continues to guide Bogle Law, P.A. today.
Outside the practice, Tauna rode and trained horses, and often said the work taught her a great deal about behavior and how to get results. She kept seven American Quarter Horses and a 34-inch mini horse, each with a distinct personality, and she considered the patience, communication, and problem-solving she developed with them inseparable from her work as a lawyer.
Tauna R. Bogle's dedication to her clients and her team shaped Bogle Law into the firm it is today. She will be deeply missed.
