    • Aggravated Battery with Deadly Weapon Trial Outcome Not Guilty of Aggravated Battery

      Our client was accused of stabbing a woman in the back of her neck with a fishing knife outside of a condominium complex. He was facing a potential sentence of 15 years in prison.

      Outcome Not Guilty of Aggravated Battery; guilty of a lesser misdemeanor (improper exhibition of a weapon), sentenced to withhold of adjudication and probation, which was early terminated in 7 months.

      Our client was charged with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer. After completing the legal research, we filed a Motion to Dismiss and provided the case law to the State Attorney's office. The Motion was set for hearing in front of the Judge. The State dismissed the case before the hearing.

    • Prosecution Abandoned (possession of controlled substances) Prosecution Abandoned

      During a traffic stop, our client's vehicle was searched based upon the appearance of marijuana. Our client was arrested for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Xanax and Possession of Paraphernalia. After we exposed issues with the stop, probable cause and constructive possession, the prosecutor abandoned the prosecution of this case and our client was cleared of all charges.
