Mr. Kennedy was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida and attended the University of Florida where he was on an athletic scholarship for swimming. After obtaining his Bachelor’s in Criminology from UF, Mr. Kennedy attended law school in Jacksonville at Florida Coastal, where he was top 12% in his class and heavily involved in the school's law review and moot court programs. Mr. Kennedy was the Senior Articles Editor for FCSL’s Law Review and President of the Moot Court program (which was routinely ranked among the top law schools in the nation).
In 2017, right out of law school, Mr. Kennedy started with Morgan & Morgan, PA where he practiced primarily Social Security Disability. Mr. Kennedy led a team that handled all types of disability claims. Mr. Kennedy attended approximately 30 hearings each month and he helped hundreds of people obtain benefits and compensation from the Social Security Administration throughout the North Florida / South Georgia areas.
Mr. Kennedy moved back to his hometown in Fort Myers in 2019, where he gained significant criminal defense experience with the Public Defender’s Office. While at the PD's Office, Mr. Kennedy handled numerous types of cases from DUIs to Domestic Violence.
After over a year with PD's Office, in 2020, Mr. Kennedy decided to go out on his own and opened his own practice, The Law Firm of Robert J Kennedy PA, in the Lee County area. On his own, Mr. Kennedy primarily handled criminal defense, family law, and some civil cases.
After two years of handling cases on his own, Mr. Kennedy knew a team atmosphere was best for his practice and his clients. Therefore, he joined the team at Bogle Law PA in August of 2022 and his practice includes criminal defense, civil disputes, and most family law matters. When he is not preparing for his client's cases, hearings, or trials, Mr. Kennedy helps coach Swim Florida with his dad, Mac Kennedy, who founded the program almost 50 years ago. Mr. Kennedy also enjoys spending time with his family and practicing his faith in Jesus.
